This prestigious event is played annually and this year was played at Waratah GC.

30 players took part and enjoyed a game of golf on the well prepared and presented Waratah layout – followed by a Presentation Dinner.

Play by by invitation only to those persons that have made a significant contribution to golf and it’s administration.

The Winner of the NDGA Masters Jacket in 2017 was NDGA Hon Secretary, Rod Carruthers.  In a display of precision golf, Rod showed a remarkable turnabout
in recent form to record a breathtaking 74, 3 over par for a nett 61 off his 13 handicap.

This year the Oc Colley Cups for both B Grade and C Grade were held on Sunday August 6.

The B Grade event was held at Waratah GC.  The Course was in good condition with fast and true greens and the weather was good for golf with fine
and mild conditions.  115 players from 13 Clubs played in the event.

The Oc Colley Cup is a stroke event with the winner being the best nett score over the field.

The Winner of this year’s B Grade Oc Colley Cup event was Jason Capararo from Charlestown GC with a Nett 70 on a countback – from Craig Wivell, Shortland
Waters, and Shane Beasley, Pacific Dunes.

Held in conjunction with this event is the B Grade District Championships – also a stroke event with the winner being the one with the best gross score.

This year our B Grade District Champion is Shane Beasley from Pacific Dunes, with a score of 83 – from Craig Wivell, Shortland Waters with 84.

The C Grade event was held at Belmont GC. The Course was also in good condition with fast and true greens and the players saw Belmont in fairly benign
conditions given the lack of wind for most of the round. 87 players from 12 Clubs played in the event.

The Winner of this year’s C Grade Oc Colley Cup event was Will Duffy from Horizons GC with a Nett 72  – from Col Honeyman, Pacific Dunes, and
Ken Leo, Pacific Dunes with 73’s

Held in conjunction with this event is the C Grade District Championships – also a stroke event with the winner being the one with the best gross
score.

This year our C Grade District Champion is Ken Leo from Pacific Dunes, with a score of 93 – from Jim Hollingsworth, Belmont with 84.

On Sunday August 6 the Oc Colley Cup for both B Grade and C Grade will be played

The B Grade event will be held at Waratah GC with tee times from 7.00am with a 1 tee start.

The C Grade event will be held at Belmont GC with tee times from 7.00am with a 2 tee start

The NDGA Team chosen to contest the Men’s NSW Country Championships and Inter-District Teams event at Goulburn GC on the weekend of August 12/13 are

The event is held over 36 holes of stroke play with a shotgun start at 12.00md on Saturday and a shotgun start at 9.30am on Sunday.

The NDGA official managing the team will be Secretary, Rod Carruthers.

The District Final of the KENO NSW Men’s 4BBB Championships was held at Tanilba Bay GC on Sunday July 16.

25 Teams took part – representing 11 Clubs   The weather was very co-operative with a fine mild winter’s day.   Tanilba Bay GC was in the best
condition many had seen for some time.

Congratulations to our Winners – David Croul and Peter Botha from Muree GC.   They will represent the District at the State Final at Bonville in early
October.

In April this year the NDGA Junior Pennant was conducted over 3 Rounds at Charlestown, Newcastle and Belmont.

The presentation of trophies and prizes was held prior to the School’s Championships presentation at Tanilba Bay GC on Monday July 10.

The 2017 Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Championship was played at Tanilba Bay GC on Monday July 10.   This event was held in conjunction of the first
day of the Invitational Youth Games.

39 players took part in this year’s event with the weather cooperating with a clear mild winters day.

Congratulation to all of our Winners – particularly our Girl Champion, Piper Prince and Boy’s Champion, Josh Robards.

This year has seen a change of format for this event.

The District Final will be held on Sunday July 16 at Tanilba Bay Golf Club – with tee times from 9.30am.  It Will be played as a 4BBB Par event using
GA handicaps.

The field this year will be made up of a maximum of 4 pairs nominated by their Clubs.  The cost will be $20 per player

This GolfNSW organised event will be held in conjunction with a new event – the NDGA District 4Ball Championships – with an increased prize pool.

The Winning team will represent their Club and the District at the State Final to be held later in the year at Bonville GC.

The 2017 NDGA Schoolboys and Schoolgirls Championships will be held at Tanilba Bay GC on Monday July 10 – with tee times from 8.30am

The first day of the 2 day Invitational Youth Games golf event will be held in conjunction

The cost for the day will be $25 and will include green fees, a hamburger lunch plus a drink.

For those players not registered in the Youth Games event – payment will be required on the day.
